our DNA
Our CSR policy
We see social and environmental performance as a key strategic objective to ensure the sustainability of our actions.
As consultants, our vocation is to offer personalised, committed and responsible advice in favour of a more sustainable future.
To this end, we are committed to developing a CSR policy in line with our raison d’être and our values, and to sharing it with all our stakeholders.
Why not take stock?
2019 : the company decides to draw up a report on its actions to date, as well as a carbon footprint.
2020 : we decide to formalise our commitments to make them easier to understand for everyone, both internal and external, through the first CSR report. An internal collective intelligence initiative, ‘REloaded’, was launched, giving every employee the opportunity to get involved in Citwell’s internal transformation.
2021 : We step up the pace internally by placing our quality and CSR policy at the heart of our strategy, because we are committed to making our company viable and sustainable over the long term. The aim is to minimise our negative impacts and maximise our positive ones. We are now writing a collective raison d’être.
2022 : we have collectively defined our raison d’être and our values. We are building on the existing foundation by structuring our policies. We have revised our ethics charter and our responsible purchasing policy to reflect these values.
2023 : We adhere to the principles of the Global Compact to structure our CSR approach over the medium and long term.
2024 : we were awarded the Ecovadis silver medal, ranking Citwell among the top 5% of companies in the IT programming and consultancy sector. For the past three years, we have been submitting our CSR policy and actions to this rating organisation. This enables us to measure our environmental, social, ethical and responsible purchasing efforts.
CSR at Citwell
As well as formalising our CSR commitments, we want to be part of a continuous improvement process.
The development of the CSR approach at Citwell is collaborative: open to all employees, everyone can get involved by proposing initiatives, carrying out an analysis on a given subject or through their day-to-day actions. A CSR team, including consultants, has been set up to manage the action plans and the approach.

impact start-ups or associations.

Preserving the environment
- Raise awareness of climate issues among our employees and train our customers, using our own certified trainers.

- Define a new travel policy (¾ of greenhouse gas emissions):
– find the best alternative to the plane or private car for business trips that are still necessary for the quality of our services.
– annual company seminar now by train.
– Sustainable mobility package of €700/year from home. - Our ambition is to reduce our customers’ greenhouse gas emissions by the equivalent of 100 times our own emissions, thanks to the impact of our assignments on transport, yields, stocks, etc.
- Increase the proportion of our assignments linked to sustainability, factory relocation and the circular economy.
- Applying the 5Rs, sorting waste, repairing and recycling our electronic equipment
- Buy responsibly: reconditioned products, renewable energies, work with
more adapted
companies…
Each year, our aim will be to :
- Measure our performance on the various issues, by monitoring detailed indicators for each lever, summarised in a ‘CSR Dashboard’.
- Communicate our CSR performance and commitments, both internally and externally, to each of our stakeholders.
- Work tirelessly to raise awareness of CSR and ethics, and to improve our performance.
Focus on our decarbonisation approach
1. Internally
We have already been tracking the number of TCO2 per employee for several years.
Thanks to our collective efforts, average carbon emissions per employee have fallen steadily since 2019, from 4 to 1.6 tonnes of CO2 per employee in 4 years.
2. Externally
We will also be assessing the impact of our assignments on our customers’ carbon footprints.
By analysing this data, we will be able to identify opportunities to reduce carbon emissions, propose more sustainable strategies and improve energy efficiency. This approach will enable us not only to reduce our own ecological footprint, but also to help our clients achieve their sustainability objectives and contribute to the fight against climate change.

Citwell, a committed company!
Discover 5 concrete actions that illustrate our commitment to CSR.
Since 2024, Citwell has been a company with a mission, whose articles of association include social, societal and environmental objectives that go beyond the simple pursuit of profit. This innovative model sets Citwell apart by aligning its activities with sustainable values and commitments. By becoming a mission-driven company, Citwell undertakes to integrate these objectives into its strategy and day-to-day operations, while being accountable to its stakeholders through regular and transparent monitoring of its actions. This approach strengthens the trust of our customers, employees and partners, while making a positive contribution to society and the planet.
Citwell, which has been committed to the circular and sustainable economy since its inception, published a European plea in early 2023, with the support of François-Michel Lambert, to promote the circular supply chain as a lever for green reindustrialisation. The aim of this initiative is to raise political awareness of the conditions necessary for the deployment of the circular economy. Citwell is now focusing on proposing concrete solutions for businesses and regions, by creating a coalition with France Supply Chain and Soroa to bring together academic, public and private players.
In 2024, Citwell is taking a further step in its commitment to sustainability by joining the Business Climate Convention (BCC), a large-scale initiative dedicated to industry. The CEC brings together companies wishing to play an active role in the ecological transition, by rethinking their business models so that they are compatible with global climate objectives.
For Citwell, this membership represents much more than a simple commitment. It’s an opportunity to collaborate with other industrial players to develop concrete solutions to environmental challenges.
Citwell has initiated a skills-based sponsorship approach by supporting the ‘Nous anti-gaspi’ brand, which specialises in selling unsold products. Faced with an increase in business, the company had to move its warehouse, a complex project that Citwell took on. By providing its logistics expertise, Citwell ensured a smooth transition, reorganising flows and optimising storage processes. This support enabled ‘Nous anti-gaspi’ to significantly improve its quality of service, increasing its operational efficiency and its ability to meet its customers’ needs.
Citwell was a partner in the first Scientific Congress on the Circular Economy, organised by AIFREC. This event, supported by various institutions, brought together 214 participants, making it the largest French-speaking meeting on this theme. This major event highlighted key work, notably on structuring the circular supply chain, presented by Citwell and experts from Soroa and Cretlog. The meeting, supported by the Circulades consortium and the Occitanie Region, highlighted the importance of interdisciplinarity in promoting innovative and sustainable strategies for the circular economy.
